Today students examined the effect of temperature on potato catalase, which is an enzyme. Using hydrogen peroxide which reacts with catalase to create bubbles, students were able to see that when catalase is denatured by a heat source, no bubbles are formed.On Monday we will be analyzing the data on the height of the bubbles from all three sections. We will also be reviewing for the chapter 2 test, which has now been moved to Tuesday.
